Un final feliz de película

¿Conoces la historia del famoso «Milagro de Guadiaro»? El 29 de mayo de 1983, nuestro pueblo vivió un suceso que, todavía hoy, pone la piel de gallina.

Imagínate la escena: 52 niños y cientos de vecinos celebrando una gran misa de Comunión en la antigua parroquia del Rosario. Todo era alegría hasta que, justo unos instantes después de que saliera la última persona por la puerta… ¡la iglesia entera se derrumbó!

¿Lo más asombroso de todo?

  • Ni un rasguño: A pesar del colapso total, no hubo ni un solo herido.

  • El misterio entre las ruinas: Cuentan los vecinos que, al mirar entre los escombros, la figura de la Virgen de los Dolores seguía en pie y la luz del Sagrario permanecía encendida.

Hoy, cada 29 de mayo, Guadiaro sigue recordando este hecho histórico con una procesión para dar las gracias por aquel domingo en el que, sin duda, la suerte (o los milagros) estuvieron de nuestro lado.

The Incredible «Miracle of Guadiaro»: A Real-Life Happy Ending

Have you heard the story of the famous «Miracle of Guadiaro»? On the 29th of May 1983, our town experienced something that still gives people goosebumps to this day.

Picture the scene: 52 children and hundreds of locals celebrating First Communions in the old Rosario parish church. Everything was joy and festivity until, just seconds after the very last person walked out the door… the entire church collapsed!

The most amazing part of it all?

  • Not a scratch: Despite the total collapse of the roof and structure, not a single person was hurt.

  • The mystery in the rubble: Locals say that when they looked through the debris, the statue of the Virgen de los Dolores was left standing perfectly intact, and the Tabernacle lamp was inexplicably still alight.

Today, every 29th of May, Guadiaro continues to remember this historic event with a procession to give thanks for that Sunday when, without a doubt, luck (or miracles) were on our side.
